How planetary hours work

Unlike clock hours, planetary hours stretch and shrink with the seasons: the twelve daylight hours divide the span from sunrise to sunset, and the twelve night hours divide sunset to the next sunrise. The first hour of each day is ruled by that day's planet — Sunday the Sun, Monday the Moon, and so on — and successive hours follow the Chaldean order (Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon). Traditional practice matches activities to a sympathetic hour ruler. Sunrise and sunset here are computed astronomically for your exact coordinates.
