2. Definitions
- “the Site” means the website vidu.dev and all of its pages.
- “the Tools” means the developer tools, calculators, converters, generators on the Site.

4. Permission to use the site and tools
You are granted a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive and revocable permission to use the Tools for lawful purposes, whether personal or commercial. No account, licence fee or attribution is required.
Output you produce with a Tool, such as formatted code, a converted file, a generated image or a calculated result, belongs to you. I claim no rights or responsibility in it and place no restriction on its use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or to process content you have no right to process;

- republish the Site or a substantial part of it as your own product, or present it as being operated by another person.

6. Your content and your files
The Tools run in your browser, and the Site do not receive Your Content. You remain solely responsible for it, including for having the right to process it and for complying with any law or duty of confidentiality that applies to it.
Because the Site never receive Your Content, it cannot recover it for you. Keep your own copies of anything you value. Closing a tab, reloading a page or clearing browser data may remove unsaved work.
7. No professional advice
The Site and the Tools are provided for general information and technical convenience. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including engineering, financial, medical, legal or safety advice, and no professional relationship is created by your use of them.
Results should be independently verified before being relied on. You should not rely on a Tool for a decision that carries legal, financial, health or safety consequences.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and the Tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, are excluded.
No warranty is given that the Site will be available or uninterrupted, that it will be free of errors or defects, or that any result produced by a Tool will be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, loss of work, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or the Tools, even if the possibility of such loss was known.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless against any claim, loss, liability or reasonable expense arising from your breach of these terms, from your use of the Site in a way that is unlawful, or from any content you process using the Tools.
11. Intellectual property
The design, layout, text, portfolio content and source code of the Site remain the property of the Operator, except where third-party components are used under their own licences. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the Site to you.
You may link to any page on the Site. You may not copy the Site as a whole, or a substantial part of it, and publish it as your own, except where a component is separately made available under an open source licence, in which case that licence applies to that component.
Company names, product names, trade marks and logos shown on the Site, including in the skills, experience and projects sections, belong to their respective owners. They appear for identification only, to describe technologies used and organisations worked with, and their appearance does not imply any endorsement or association.
12. Third-party software and links
The Site uses open source libraries and public content delivery networks, each governed by its own licence and terms. The Site also links to external resources, including blog.vidu.dev, LinkedIn and GitHub. Those services are controlled by others. Site do not control them and accept no responsibility for their content, terms, security or availability.
13. Availability and changes to the site
The Site is a personal project and is offered without any guarantee of availability. Pages and Tools may be added, changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time and without notice, and no obligation to maintain any particular Tool is undertaken.
14. Privacy
Use of the Site is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what data is handled and by whom. Please read it together with these terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka shall have jurisdiction.
16. Precedence of law, severability and entire agreement
Applicable law comes first. These terms operate subject to the law, not above it.
Where a clause of these terms conflicts with such a law, the law prevails. Any clause found to be invalid or unenforceable shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining clauses shall continue in force.
Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms form the entire agreement between you and the Operator in relation to the Site. This does not affect any right or obligation that arises by operation of law, and no clause here should be read as an attempt to contract out of one.
17. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the date shown at the top. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
